Ask Me

  1. What does Velo mean?

You might think of Velo as French for bicycle, but our Velo is all about healthy Vietnamese food, freshly made and delivered fast. Velo is simple, crisp, clean, light and fresh. Velo loves making food – it’s LOVE the other way round. Velo is velocity: order your food on touch screens and it arrives before you know it.

  2. Who is behind Velo?

A guy who got BOB (bored of banking), loves noodles and hates queuing. Remembering his Vietnamese roots, he got excited about introducing a new fresh taste and vibe to the London food scene. And so he gave up his City job, locked himself up in cupboard and put on his thinking cap. After 3 years of sweat, banging heads and storming brains, our idiosyncratic founder, Saigon-born Nghi Nguyen, realised his idea. Out of the cap came a novel concept that combined fresh and quick Vietnamese cuisine with cutting-edge touch-screen ordering technology. Now, you will see Nghi behind the counter or on the floor, making sure everything is down to a T. If you don’t see him, he’s probably gone back into his cupboard to think about new great things just for you.

  3. What kind of food does Velo serve?

In a nutshell (or inside a rice paper) we serve fabulously healthy Vietnamese food. We have a select menu that includes Spring Rolls, Summer Rolls, Salads and Soups, Vietnamese Banh Mi Baguettes, various Rice and Vermicelli dishes, Vietnamese noodle soups Pho and our hugely popular Vietnamese Chicken Curry. All of this food is homemade in our kitchen on site. To drink, we have all your old favourites plus lots of special Naked juices and some über-delicious iced Vietnamese coffee. We are also licensed so you can enjoy a glass of beer or wine with your meal. Check out our full menu.

  4. What dietary needs do you cater for? And do you have nutritional values?

Whilst all of our dishes may contain nuts and other allergens – Velo caters for gluten-free diets. Lots of our dishes are gluten free already, and you can request dishes to be made gluten free especially to order. All our food is made MSG-free! There is plenty of choice if you’re vegetarian or vegan and some of our meat is also halal. Please take a look at the key on the menu to check out which option is best for your dietary needs – or ask one of our team members if you have any questions at all.

To check on our nutritional values, download the nutritional menu here.

  8. How do I order food at Velo?

If you’re not hungry when you arrive – you soon will be! You can browse our menu on screens above the serving counter or on our state-of-the-art Touch Me kiosks.
