It was an idea of 2008. Not a great year in the City, where our founder worked, but a great year for what was to become Velo. Fresh and fast Vietnamese food in London was hard to come by. Fast forward to 2011, the idea became reality: Velo opened in Tooley Street. We now serve many summer rolls, banh mis and more within our crisp and clean interior. Day in, day out.

Food was pricey but extreme tasty. Ordered the chicken curry which was tasty.
Would recommend if you fancy a quick tasty bite.
Used the on-screen takeaway service. Easy to use and quick, only waited five minutes for the food. Everything was really tasty, especially the pho. A great, healthy takeaway option, will definitely visit again.

VELO – if you like Vietnamese food
Of all the Asian food, I feel Vietnamese food is the healthiest. Fancy some fresh summer rolls in rice paper and healthy mango salads in homemade fish sauce? Or even the famous Vietnamese noodle soup Pho in a healthy nutritious broth simmered all day long?
Their entire menu is MSG-free and they also cater for vegetarians, vegans, gluten-free and halal diets, which is brilliant!

Great little gem by London Bridge quite a small place and gets quite busy at lunchtime but with the help of the self-serve machines it makes the whole process quicker and easier! Try the prawn spring rolls and prawns with rice and special sauce for a tasty treat prices are reasonable and dishes always served with a smile highly recommend……

Great for every rainy day! The banh mi thit noung on a toasted baguette was a perfect combo. The cafe sua da could have been a little stronger. All good would definitely come back again.

In the busy precinct surrounding London Bridge station, Tooley Street is a bustling thoroughfare with a lot of people all in a hurry to go somewhere. There’s a lot of offices in this neighborhood, so there’s quite a few lunch options all trying to appeal to busy executives. One of the best is Velo – serving up fast and fresh Vietnamese food. With an automated ordering system and an efficient team working the counter, this is healthy, fast, and delicious.

One of the most consistent, healthy and tasty restaurants I’ve been to in London. Can’t get enough of their Vietnamese lemongrass roast pork!

Great place for a quick and delicious bit to eat.We live just down the road and Velo is our go-to place when we can’t be bothered to cook but don’t want to spend a fortune on dining out.The food is very fresh and reasonably priced. Our favourites are the spring rolls, lemon grass pork vermicelli noodles and the chicken curry. We have been many times and have always been extremely happy with the food.

I stopped here on my way home because I wanted some dinner but I wasn’t mega-hungry … so I was delighted to discover this little gem on my route…! I opted for the roast chicken summer roll, which was nice enough – the rice paper wrap filled with salad and lean chicken was uber healthy and the peanut sauce was so yummy I actually drank half of it! I also chose the classic pork spring rolls, which were mind-blowingly good! Choc-full of delicious meat and wrapped in a beautifully & satisfyingly crunchy case, I will definitely be going back for more of these. I didn’t order a drink, but I’m looking forward to trying their chai latte or iced Vietnamese coffee on my next visit…
Overall I really enjoyed my first visit to Velo and I will definitely be back to try out some other items from the menu.

“Great Healthy Takeaway Food”
I have been to Velo on 3 occasions now and everytime I have had a great experience and eaten some great food. The self order stations are great and have the option of making a lot of the menu gluten free which is perfect for me. Food always tastes fresh, hot and delicious. Would definitely recommend this place and I can’t wait to go back.

Our first time at Velo this evening. We took our 3 year old too, and asked for something typically not on the set menu, and they were very obliging. We loved the food, and would definitely go again, when in the area next.

“Tasty food and awesome staff”
Just picked up some food from Velo whilst staying at the hotel opposite, the staff were so welcoming and kind I thought I’d write a review. Also the food is great and well priced. Don’t miss out on this little gem of a place in Tower Bridge…

“Authentic Vietnamese food! Just like home!”
Stumble across this place when I stayed in Hilton Tower Bridge.
Being Vietnamese, I love Vietnamese food! It was delicious and very authentic taste!
Went for Dinner and then for lunch the next day!!!!
Love the Summer rolls, with the authentic dipping sauce, reminds me of my parents cooking and love the spring rolls too, I always order double portions of both!
Haven’t tried the pho yet, so will try this next time and the broth smells delicious with the yummy vietnamese herbs too as garnish!
So wish Velo was open over the weekends!!!
Highly recommend and staff was friendly and prices were great!
Wish we have a Velo close to our home in Kent as would go every chance I got!

“Excellent Food and Super friendly/helpful staff!”
The food is really good and the entire place feels so welcoming. My son, age 6, who is rather picky about his food polished off an entire bowl of Chicken Pho! That speaks volume.
Ingredients are really fresh and really value-for-money.
