It was an idea of 2008. Not a great year in the City, where our founder worked, but a great year for what was to become Velo. Fresh and fast Vietnamese food in London was hard to come by. Fast forward to 2011, the idea became reality: Velo opened in Tooley Street. We now serve many summer rolls, banh mis and more within our crisp and clean interior. Day in, day out.

Very tasty food, good prices, and quick service. You order you food through a machine menu thing and they bring it to your table. I had a lovely lunch with a friend for about £20 including starters

“Just right Vietnamese food”
I was working at Moore London and a frequent customer of the store. As a Vietnamese, I found this store offers very good selection and quality food. I actually visited almost everyday.
The order via automated screen is convenient and fast track the orders. The owner is so lovely too. Highly recommended

Their pho was my special treat all the way throughout winter. Delicious food and friendly staff, although I would avoid coming during very busy lunch times. Their summer rolls are also really good to have in hot weather.

Food was pricey but extreme tasty. Ordered the chicken curry which was tasty.
Would recommend if you fancy a quick tasty bite.
Used the on-screen takeaway service. Easy to use and quick, only waited five minutes for the food. Everything was really tasty, especially the pho. A great, healthy takeaway option, will definitely visit again.

VELO – if you like Vietnamese food
Of all the Asian food, I feel Vietnamese food is the healthiest. Fancy some fresh summer rolls in rice paper and healthy mango salads in homemade fish sauce? Or even the famous Vietnamese noodle soup Pho in a healthy nutritious broth simmered all day long?
Their entire menu is MSG-free and they also cater for vegetarians, vegans, gluten-free and halal diets, which is brilliant!

Great little gem by London Bridge quite a small place and gets quite busy at lunchtime but with the help of the self-serve machines it makes the whole process quicker and easier! Try the prawn spring rolls and prawns with rice and special sauce for a tasty treat prices are reasonable and dishes always served with a smile highly recommend……

Great for every rainy day! The banh mi thit noung on a toasted baguette was a perfect combo. The cafe sua da could have been a little stronger. All good would definitely come back again.

In the busy precinct surrounding London Bridge station, Tooley Street is a bustling thoroughfare with a lot of people all in a hurry to go somewhere. There’s a lot of offices in this neighborhood, so there’s quite a few lunch options all trying to appeal to busy executives. One of the best is Velo – serving up fast and fresh Vietnamese food. With an automated ordering system and an efficient team working the counter, this is healthy, fast, and delicious.

One of the most consistent, healthy and tasty restaurants I’ve been to in London. Can’t get enough of their Vietnamese lemongrass roast pork!
